Briefly about choosing clothes for a photoshoot
This photo showcases a wonderful idea for a New Year’s photoshoot look – a combination of caramel and green.
Often, when I recommend choosing clothing for a shoot that matches or complements the colors of the location, clients ask, “Won’t we blend in with the location?” Of course not!
Ideally, a photo should feature two or three colors that complement each other and look harmonious with the chosen location (black, white, and gray are considered neutral, base colors, not actual colors in a photo).
Therefore, when selecting clothes for a shoot, I always ask clients to send me photos of their outfits and provide recommendations on color and texture to ensure the photos look harmonious. When booking a session, you can count on my help with location selection, outfit styling, and posing.

Should You Have Professional Makeup for a Photoshoot?
Sometimes, my clients ask if it’s necessary to get professional makeup for a photoshoot or if it’s okay to do it themselves at home. From my experience, I can confidently say that high-quality, professionally done makeup is essential for a photoshoot.
Not many people know that a camera «eats» 50% of the brightness of makeup. This means that if you’re wearing makeup as you would on an average day, your face may appear pale or even like you’re not wearing any at all. That’s why makeup for a photoshoot is slightly different from regular event makeup – it’s more contrasty, with a flawless tone and perfectly placed accents (usually on the eyes or lips), depending on the look you’re going for.
With proper makeup, even with basic editing, you’ll look polished and natural in your photos. When booking a photoshoot with me, I always send a list of professional makeup artists that I work with. These are artists whose work I trust, and you can choose the one whose style and Instagram profile appeal to you the most. The best results come when the makeup artist and photographer work as a team, ensuring stunning, high-quality photos for you.

A Brief Guide on Choosing Outfits for a Photoshoot
This photo showcases a wonderful idea for a New Year’s photoshoot look – a combination of emerald green (the accent color in the outfit) paired with two neutral colors – white and beige.
When I recommend choosing colors that complement or match the location for a photoshoot, clients often ask, “Won’t we blend into the location?” And the answer is no, of course not!
Ideally, there should be two, or at most three, colors in your photos that work well together and harmonize with the chosen location. (Black, white, and gray are considered neutral, base colors and don’t count as the main colors for the photo.)
When selecting outfits for a photoshoot, I always ask clients to send me photos of their clothing so I can provide recommendations for colors and textures that will make the photos more cohesive.
